"Photographs can thus act as embodied sites that can transfer a sense of experience through space and time. Images of spaces and things have a different temporality to those of people in the sense that they are not images of events, but rather of states of presence—or absence. By paying attention to things, to details and to objects, the photograph can elevate them from the status of unnoticed elements into that of significant carriers of emotional and psychological depth and meaning."

----Lowe, P.

What happened happened, there are biases in the participant’s memory. Individuals mould their memories unconsciously into what they expected. Focusing on a series of images related to my family background, I recalled that a gift from my father. It rarely impressed me until it became a crash by a huge truck, destroyed it physically and memorably. Speaking of this experience, people forgot the appearance of the souvenir, even misremember that it did not exist on that bridge. Through the “flashback” on the top of the camera, it seems to be able to re-connect and zoom-in the misty objects in deep consciousness. We would attempt to reconstruct it from the fragments of memory.

“照片可以作为具有具象性的场所,通过空间和时间传递一种体验感。空间和事物的图像与人的图像具有不同的时间性,因为它们不是事件的图像,而是存在或缺席的状态。通过对事物的关注、对细节的关注、对物体的关注, 将它们从被忽视的元素地位提升为情感和心理深度和意义的重要载体。”
